 When it comes to creating exquisite custom homes, Mark Allen, founder of MWA Builders, takes his job personally. He believes in and acts on his philosophy of taking the hands-on approach, keeping closely involved in the details of every home he builds.

     Mark Allen has been in the local construction scene since 1981. He began his career as a subcontractor, working in various aspects of the trade with his father. Eventually, he found he felt limited as a subcontractor and had a desire to create custom homes from start to finish. The growing presence of MWA Builders throughout Central Florida has been a direct result of Mark Allen’s high standards and drive to create magnificent custom homes.

     A comprehensive background in all aspects of the building process provides Mark with a deep understanding of the custom home market. He is also experienced and skilled in a variety of trades such as complex framing, painting and wall coverings, ceramic tile, hardwood flooring and finish carpentry.

     This range of expertise allows him to direct his subcontractors and craftsmen, whom he has personally chosen, to represent MWA Builders. Mark also maintains a regular presence at local, southeast and international trade shows. He is constantly searching for and learning the industry’s newest methods and materials. It is the knowledge, values and skill of Mark Allen that are incorporated by the staff of the professionals at MWA Builders.  He demands an intense commitment to quality from each of his building associates, and his staff is devoted to superb custom craftsmanship and superior custom customer service.

     “We take great pride in our custom work and feel that each client will do the same when they work with my company,” Mark said. “The builders/client relationship we strive to develop will enable the client to make their custom home a lifelong achievement.” He wants his home buyers to know that they’re hiring a team to oversee and manage the building of their home. For Mark, working hands on is a must, keeping him personally connected with each project. He believes this provides the home buyer with a comfort level, knowing that Mark, as the builder, is involved and overseeing each aspect of the job.
